One story can change the world.

Dave Richardson

Dave Richardson is the Co-Founder and Board Chair of the Stigma-Free Society. He is also President and CEO of Octaform Systems Inc,  and past Director of Richardson International and James Richardson and Sons, Limited. Dave grew up on his family farm in Manitoba, Canada, and has strong ties to rural and agricultural communities across the country. Although some of his happiest memories are those of growing up as a “farm boy”, he has also experienced depression and anxiety – something that is usually not discussed in rural communities. It is Dave’s purpose to open up the conversation about mental health and stigma in rural communities to ensure that people get the help they deserve. His personal experiences give the Stigma-Free Society valuable first-hand knowledge of rural and farm life, and also insight from someone who has lived experience of mental illness.

Dave often shares with others that there is always hope and always help!
